Ahmad Mayyas,

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

Ahmad Mayyas currently works as a post-doctoral research fellow in Transportation Sustainability Research Center (TSRC) at University of California-Berkeley in the area of fuel cell manufacturing and assembly. Before Joining UC-Berkeley Ahmad was working as quality engineer at Spartanburg Steel Products where he was responsible engineer for BMW assembly works.

Ahmad earned his PhD and MSc in automotive engineering from Clemson University in December 2011 and May 2012, respectively. He also earned MSc in industrial engineering and BS in biosystem engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology in June 2007, and October 2003, respectively.

His research interests include: sustainable manufacturing, sustainable and renewable energy systems, lightweight design, and reliability of electronics. Ahmad has published more than 40 papers and his work was published in several reputable journals such as Sustainable and Renewable Energy Reviews, Energy, Journal of Composite Materials, Materials and Design, Materials Processing Technology, and Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance.
